The Free Website Diagnostic Every Therapist Should Run On Their Own ?

free website diagnostic

You wanted a clear, honest look at your own website. This page gives you a free tool that reads your homepage the way a first-time visitor does, then hands you a simple report of what is working and what to fix first.

No cost. No sign-up. Nothing to buy. It takes about 10 minutes, and every step is spelled out below in plain language. If you can copy and paste, you can do this.

Welcome

Most therapist websites are not broken.

But many quietly create hesitation.

Someone lands on your homepage late at night, already overwhelmed, trying to decide whether they feel safe enough to reach out.

And in those first few seconds, small things shape everything:

  • unclear positioning
  • emotionally flat copy
  • weak trust signals
  • confusing structure
  • no clear next step

This framework was built to help you experience your homepage the way a first-time visitor does.

Not as the practitioner.
Not as the person who built it.
But as someone quietly deciding whether to trust it.

Why This Exists

Over the last 9 months, we have reviewed therapist and wellness websites from a different perspective: not as designers, not as marketers, but as visitors.

Specifically, someone arriving tired, overwhelmed, and trying to decide whether they feel safe enough to reach out.

And we noticed something. Most websites were not "bad." But they created hesitation. The headline sounded professional, but not human. The structure made people work too hard. Trust was expected before it was earned.

That observation became the foundation of this framework. Because most therapist websites don't fail from lack of information. They fail from decision friction.

Why it's free: most "audits" are built by developers looking for something to sell you. This one is not. You get honest findings and a clear plan, with nothing attached.

What This Framework Reviews

This framework looks at your homepage through six simple lenses.

01

What Your Homepage Quietly Communicates

Does your website clearly say who you help, how you help, and why someone should trust you?

02

Visitor Psychology

What is someone emotionally looking for when they arrive on your website?

03

Cold Visitor Experience

How does your website feel to someone seeing you for the very first time?

04

The 5-Second Clarity Test

What does a visitor actually understand within the first few seconds?

05

Language & Emotional Clarity

Does your copy sound human, grounded, and emotionally clear?

06

Trust & Visitor Flow

Where does trust build, and where does it quietly break?

What Your Final Report Includes

When you finish, you get a clear, slide-by-slide report covering:

  • Positioning Clarity — what your homepage currently communicates versus what your practice actually represents.
  • The 11pm Visitor Perspective — what someone may be feeling when they land on your website late at night, looking for help.
  • The 5-Second Test — what a stranger remembers after briefly seeing your homepage.
  • Trust & Hesitation Analysis — the moments where people feel reassured, or quietly leave.
  • Homepage Rewrites — clearer alternatives for weak or generic copy, written for you.
  • Your "Fix First" Priority — the one improvement likely to create the biggest shift.

Before You Begin

This is not a design critique. And it is not another "marketing audit."

This framework focuses on:

  • emotional trust
  • visitor hesitation
  • decision clarity
  • positioning
  • next-step confidence

Some findings may feel uncomfortable. That is part of the process.

The goal is not to make your website prettier. The goal is to help it feel clearer, calmer, and easier to trust.

How To Run It — Step By Step

🧭 The whole thing in plain words. You will install one free app (called Antigravity), switch a setting to "Claude," then copy and paste two blocks of text we have written for you. The tool does the rest and hands you your report. No coding, no technical skill needed. Four steps, about 10 minutes.

Step 1 — Get the Free App (Antigravity)

What it is, in one line: a free app from Google that can actually open your website and read it for you. A normal chat tool cannot visit your website on its own, which is why we use this one.

You do not need to understand how it works. You just install it, the same way you would install any app.

Antigravity is completely free during public preview. No credit card. No waitlist. All you need is a Google account.

How to Download and Install

First — open the download page. In your web browser, go to antigravity.google/download. You will see a page with download buttons for different kinds of computers (Windows and Mac).

Next — download the version for your computer. Pick the button that matches your computer:

  • Windows computer (most people): click the Windows download button.
  • Newer Mac (bought around 2020 or later): click "Download for Apple Silicon" under Mac.
  • Older Mac: click "Download for Intel" under Mac.

Not sure which one? Most people are on Windows, so start there. The file is fairly large, so it may take a minute or two to download. That is normal.

Then — install the app.

Windows installation steps
  1. Find the downloaded .exe file in your Downloads folder.
  2. Double-click it to run the installer.
  3. If Windows shows a security warning ("Windows protected your PC"), click "More info" then "Run anyway" — this is normal for new apps.
  4. Follow the installer prompts (just click Next / Install / Finish).
  5. Antigravity will open automatically when installation finishes, or find it in your Start Menu.
Mac installation steps
  1. Find the downloaded .dmg file in your Downloads folder.
  2. Double-click it to open the disk image.
  3. Drag the Antigravity icon into your Applications folder.
  4. Open your Applications folder and double-click Antigravity to launch it.
  5. If Mac shows a security warning, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway".

Finally — sign in with Google. When Antigravity opens for the first time, it will ask you to sign in. Click "Sign in with Google" and use your normal Google account (the one you use for Gmail). That is all. No payment details, no extra setup.

Step 2 — Switch the Setting to "Claude"

When Antigravity opens, it uses a different AI by default (called Gemini). This review was built for Claude, so you need to switch to it first. It takes about 10 seconds.

How to switch:

  1. Open Antigravity.
  2. Click New Mission (or the + button in the sidebar) to start a fresh conversation.
  3. Look for the model selector dropdown — it is usually at the top of the prompt input area and will show "Gemini" by default.
  4. Click the dropdown and select Claude Opus (or the most recent Claude model shown in the list).
  5. The interface will update to show Claude is now active.

⚠️ Make sure you see Claude selected before pasting. If you run the prompts on Gemini, the audit will still work but the results will be noticeably less sharp — the positioning analysis and copy rewrites in particular are much better on Claude.

💡 Already pay for Claude? If you have a paid Claude plan (Pro or Max) and the Claude desktop app installed, you can run the two prompts there instead. Paid Claude gives slightly sharper results. If that means nothing to you, ignore this box and stick with the free Antigravity steps above. Both work.

Step 3 — Paste and Run Prompt 1

Now you are ready. Copy the full prompt below and paste it as your very first message in the Antigravity mission.

Do not add any text before or after it. Just copy, paste, and hit send.

Claude will open the audit with: "Hi, I'm your MagnovaLabs homepage audit. I need a few things before I research your site. One question at a time. Let's go."

It will then ask you 10 questions, one at a time. Answer each one before it moves to the next. The questions cover:

  • Your website URL
  • Your name and what type of practitioner you are
  • Whether you work online, in-person, or both
  • The cities or regions you serve
  • Who your ideal client is (describe them casually)
  • The main action you want visitors to take
  • Your social media profiles
  • What feels off about your homepage right now
  • How direct you want the feedback (gentle / direct / brutal)

After all 10 answers, Claude will say it is starting research and begin working. You will see brief one-line updates in chat as it fetches your site, scans competitors, and runs the audit. This takes about 3–5 minutes. Do not interrupt it.

When it is done, it will tell you to paste Prompt 2.

📋 Prompt 1 — click to expand, then copy

Step 4 — Paste Prompt 2

⚠️ Wait for Claude to finish Prompt 1 first. When it is done, Claude will say: "Research and audit complete... paste Prompt 2 as your next message."

Paste Prompt 2 in the same conversation — do NOT open a new mission. The audit findings live in Claude's memory for that session only. Opening a new conversation means starting over.

After you paste Prompt 2, Claude will build your full report (around 20 slides). This usually takes about 60 to 90 seconds, and you will see it appear in a box on the screen.

To read it:

  1. Click the expand icon in the top-right corner of that box to make it bigger.
  2. Press the F11 key on your keyboard for fullscreen (press F11 again to exit).
  3. Use the left and right arrow keys to move between slides.
📋 Prompt 2 — click to expand, then copy

Don't Want to Install Anything? (Backup Option)

If you would rather not install the app, you can use the free website claude.ai instead. It is a little less thorough, but it still works.

  1. Go to claude.ai and sign in (or create a free account).
  2. Start a new conversation.
  3. Turn on web search — look for a small tools or search toggle near where you type. The review needs this to look at your website.
  4. Paste Prompt 1 and follow the same steps as above.

A Better Way to Think About Websites

Most practitioners assume their website exists to explain information.

But people rarely make decisions from information alone. Especially in mental wellness.

People decide emotionally first. They ask themselves:

"Do I feel understood here?"

"Does this feel safe?"

"Can I trust this person?"

"What happens next?"

If those answers are unclear, people rarely sit and figure it out. They leave. Quietly.

That is why clarity matters. Not louder marketing. Not more visibility. But a stronger digital foundation underneath everything else.
